Guardianship
I have a 16, soon to be 17, year old that wants to live away from home. We have tried all sources to resolve our difficulties. My other family members are going to leave me, just to get away from my 16 year old. How do I transfer guardianship to someone other than a family member? Can I do such a thing?

Well, first, does anyone want to house this kid and secondly, if you are seeking to abdicate your parental responsibilities, you probably will not be successful unless you find someone who wants to adopt.
Either Probate or Juvenile court will entertain petitions to either to grant guardianship (Probate) or custody (Juvenile), anyone who is an adult and suitable can, assuming the court consents, obtain some form of custody of a juvenile. Such orders are always temporary and natural parents remain liable for support.
The only exceptions are adoption and permanent commitments to the Children Services Board. With a 16 year-old kid, success at either of those ain't likely.
Not only that, but even if you somehow succeeded, it probably won't be too great for your kid's future and might not be for the family either.
Take if from someone who spent 17 years (eight of them representing Children Services in child abuse/neglect cases)helping process kids through the system. It wasn't pretty. Obviously I don't know your situation. But better to try to get a grip on the family situation. It is likely that what is happening could very well be normal
