Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
homemaker rights
I have been married for 21 years. I gave up my career at one of the big three (no degree) to stay home with our two kids 17 years ago. Kids are still in school. Husband was arrested for DUI last year. After begging me to stay and swearing to get help, it still continues. I have just found evidence that he hired an ''escort''. I have proof positive. I know who and I know when. Isn't that putting MY life in danger? I have even more information than that. Husband has very good job. I want to know what will happen to me and the kids. It is not fair that my whole life will change when I did nothing but be a good wife. Where do I start?

Re: homemaker rights
Normally in Summit County(each County is different) there is one year of spousal support for every three years of marriage. The child support will go until the kids are 18 or graduates highschool which ever is later. I appreciate the fact that you do not want your life to change, but unless he has unlimited funds, it is much less expensive for two people to live together than for 2 people to live apart.
