Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Who's house is it?

Dating a man who's divorce was final Aug.,2000

been seperated from ex wife for a 1 1/2 before that. Ex wife has find out about me and is starting alot of crap. Says house is still ''hers'' but divocre says it's his but he needs to refinance to get her name of mortgage loan - she basically is goingt o start stalking the house to try to find out who I am and what kind of car I drive. She told him that she will not have any bitches or whores in ''her'' hose. She has not lived there for 2 years and has not paid one cent to go the mortgage or upkeep of the house. Does she have the right ot do this and keep us apart and to make threats against me and my car???? Is there anything me or him can do to keep her away so that we can enjoy our limited time together in peace until we can see each other more often? Who's house is it? Does she have any rights to do this???

Re: Who's house is it?

First of all look to the divorce decree to see who owns the house. If he is living there, he probably owns it. In the decree there is probably language that she shall not annoy harass or otherwise bother the other spouse. Therefore, her constant calling and harassing him would be contempt of court. A quicker remedy would be to call the police about domsetic violence. It does not have to be physical abuse. The abuse can be mental or merely threats.

Good Luck!!!
