My husand is getting ready to go to court for visitation for his kids from a previous relationship. The mother is trying to get supervised visitation because she doesnt want the kids around me the new wife. In Ohio, supervised visitation is the exception rather than the rule. There has to be some reason why supervised visitation would be necessary to protect the children. I very much doubt that a mere personality conflict between the children's mother and you would suffice as a basis for a supervised visitation order. Typically, supervised visitation is only ordered where there are doubts about the safety of the children during visitation.

If there are no such concerns about the safety of the children then supervised visitation would not seem appropriate.

If there is a hearing on this matter, either party to the case, including your husband, may call you as a witness.
