Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

my husband had divorce papers drawn up before i found out that he was having an affair and that his girlfriend is pregnant. he was a General motors employee and filed for a buyout payment of $80,000 saying that i would get 1/2 of it after taxes. he states that i can either get that as a one time settlement or i can get alimony payments. since we are not yet divorced am i entitled to get both? Right now he has no job but is in school to learn a new trade. he will graduate in march of 2010.

Your best bet is to attempt to get alimony since the alimony may be paid out of the settlement. You could countersue for divorce and put down the affair as the reason for the divorce. I would be happy to represent you in this.
