Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Husband forged car title

In July of 2007, my husband (now divorced) forged the title of my daughter's car (was in my name only) to sell it without my permission while I was at work. Can I get the money back from him since he stole the car ... I only had it for 5 months and my daughter now can't get to work. I paid $3000 for it and now I don't have the money to get her another one.

You should be able to if you can prove he forged your name. It sounds like you need an attorney. Please contact me for a free consultation.

Car title transfers need to be notarized. So you may want to ask the notary who was involved how it happened and potential go after the notary as well as your husband.
