My husband and I got married and later found out that he was still married to his former wife. Are we legally married?

No, the marriage is deemed a nullity, since it is illegal to be married to more than one person. Also, your husband can be prosecuted for bigamy. I would strongly encourage your husband to end the first marriage. I would also suggest you consult with an attorney familiar with Domestic Relations, given the potential for criminal charges.
