Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Infidelity
I have been married for over 20 years, my husband was unfaithful a few years back but for two reasons I stuck it out. First, he said if I ever left him, he would rip me apart in the divorce, and second, we had two children living at home. The affair began in 2002 and shortly after I found it, it ended. I have documentation of anything and everything that happened. My question is that even though this happened a few years ago, is it still solid ground for divorce?

Re: Infidelity
Generally speaking, the older an incident is, the less force it may have when it comes to assessing fault in a divorce situation. While it is useful for establishing grounds, its impact will be lessened as to property division.
