Interference with child custody

What is the next step taken after an interference with child custody report against my children's step-mother has been made?

How can I use this to my advantage in custody case?

The next step is to make sure that charges are filed against her and if possible a restraining order issued against her. Once charges are filed, you can use it against her in a custody action.
