Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
How likely are judges to seperate siblings?
I divorced 3 years ago and have custody of our 11 yr old. My ex threatened to ''take our child away'' from me if I didn't adhere to his rules. The CS order is way below standard, I couldn't have a boy friend or live anywhere but next door to him etc. In re. to the CS he told me I knew what to do to get more money; meaning doing him sexual favors. Later I found out that he treated his 1st wife, a dentist, in a similar way. He is a successful doctor, and I never made a formal complaint in fear of losing my child.- I'm not a local. After he took something very precious of mine I finally did leave after filing the proper paperwork with court etc. My ex now filed for custody. I have 2 children from a previous marriage. The oldest left home angry because he engaged in too many deviant behavioral patterns I did not approve of. He is now going to testify on behalf of my ex that I am a terrible parent. The second child is with me as well, and the three of us, all female, are very close. What are the chances that a judge will give my ex what he wants? I am so concerned for many reasons. My attorney tells me not to worry. Shouldn't I?

There is a presumption not to separate the children. I am confused about the child support issue. The Court is required to impose the guideline amounts unless it would be in the best interest of the children to have less. He should not bully you into taking less. Good Luck!!!!!!
