Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Jurisdiction

Hello, I moved to Arizona 8 months ago from my home state of Ohio, my 13 year old son is now going to come out to live with me in June 2007, me and my ex are drawing up an agreed order but she wanted to have a provision put in there as follows:

The parties further agree that due to all preceding orders being handled in the state of Ohio; Summit County shall therefore maintain jurisdiction of our son until such time that Mother relocates outside of the state of Ohio, or an agreement is entered into making our son's permenent residence with the Father. In the event that the Mother does relocate outside of Ohio, jurisdiction of our son may then be transferred to the appropriate State or County court where our son makes his principle residence at that time.

My question is would this be wise to agree to knowing my son will more than likely be with me in AZ till he graduates high school? Or shall I just have it reworded? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Jurisdiction

I might consider adding Arizona as the court's jurisdiction in addition to whichever residence the son makes permanent. Arizona is a 'known'. Where mom may move is an 'unknown'. And it could be Hawaii--far away and expensive to adjudicate.
