Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

No Kids No House. Live in Different States

I live in Ohio since 2006 and my spouse lives in Kentucky since 2005. We don't have any children and we don't have real estates. We got married in a community property state (NM) in 2003. Where should I file for divorce? Do I have to file in OH, or do I have the option to file in KY since my spouse live there? Thanks much!

After a six months residency in Ohio, you can file for divorce. You need to be present in court for this, so Ohio is the place where you should file.
