Lawyers fees

My nephew has been in Hillcrest, a school for juveniles. Mys sister has spent over six thousand dollars on legal fees. My nephews father is disabled and has not particpated in the childs life. He has only paid $24.00 a week in child support when we receive it. Is the father responsible for half of the legal fees?

You can sue him for one half of the legal fees. It would be an action for contribution, as he is legally responsible to support his son regardless of the father's disability.
