Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
I lost my job, and husband abandoned me. I have no income, and he left me with 30,000.00 in credit card debt. I am living on my 401k and its running out fast. what can I do? I inherited the home from my father and my name is on the deed and have no mortgage on it.

In Ohio, if you sue your husband for divorce, the court may order him to pay alimony, and may order that the credit card debt be split between you if it was incurred while you were still married. Further, inherited property is generally regarded by the courts as separate property so the court would not likely force you to split the value of that with your husband in the divorce.
