Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

magistrate

I lost answer to: Magistrate went against every witness, the guardian ad litems advice, saying she knew my husband ''coached'' our son during interview. Also said she knew he needed to be a father to our son,not a ''buddy''. He needs to address our sons health, educational & hygiene issues. Yet granted him custody on grounds my son ''misses his friends''. He is 12 and sees his friends ''EVERY'' fri-sun. He also has made new friends, likes his school and grades have went from D's & F's to B's & C's . His dad always did his work for him & he just copied answers. He told him he didnt have to do work at school for he would get custody. Now since the hearing his grades have dropped drastically since he knows at the end of the year he is going to his dads. Magistrate made a HUGE miscall on this and listened to NOTHING every person told her . She took everything from me. I was a stay at home mom most of our 20yr.marriage. She did not even grant 1yr.spousal so I can get back on my feet. She knew he turned off util.on our 2 kids while NOT even paying support. This is an Officer and I believe she sided alot because he's in their court rooms. She used no advice people gave. She says ''IF ''he doesnt chnge THEN it can be reviewed.

Re: magistrate

Child support and parenting issues can be modified and or reviewed by the Court. Perhaps you can request a differenct magistrate.
