Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Magistrate's decision

I am in the middle of a custody battle. The last time I went to court, the magistrate made a decision regarding a companionship schedule. The GAL came up with a shared parenting plan that I don't agree with. Do I have to follow the shared parenting agreement until we go back for a hearing in 60 days or do I go with the companionship schedule that was ordered and signed by the magistrate? The GAL told me over the phone that the magistrate said to try the shared parentiing plan. Do I have to? Isn't what the magistrate signed the binding, legal document?

Re: Magistrate's decision

Subject to your attorney's advice, you should follow the magistrate's decision, assuming nothing else regarding visitation has been journalized by the Court, assuming the parties cannot come to another agreement.
