Married Women's property Laws
I'm a 57 year old housewife. We have been married for 37 years. HAve three grown children. Own our own house. I have worked off and on over the years but have spent the greater part as a housewife. My husband states that he earns all the household money and that because I don't work outside the house I'm not entitled legally to anything that he makes. Is there something that values the ''household ''duties I perform in a monitary way? If I divorced or seperated from him am I ''entitled ''to anything. The house, cars etc are in joint custody.

Generally, you are entitled to one-half of all assets. You should also be a good candidate for alimony.

Marital assets are those acquired during the marriage regardless of the person who acquired them, and martial assets generally are shared equally.
