Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Medical Necessity

My ex is taking our 3 year old son for mental health therapy for issues of non-compliance with adults. I met with the therapist, and it was stated that the therapy is more of a ''family'' therapy to help mom handle situations and dicipline for the child. I do not have any dicipline problems with him when he comes to my house. Per my divorce decree, I am required to pay 1/2 of the medical expenses after insurance, but I can dispute anything above normal medical necessity. She is taking him for therapy once a week, and then handing me the bill for 1/2 of the copay. After speaking with the therapist, I don't feel like this is medically necessary. It is more like she is taking ''parenting classes'' on how to deal with being a parent. How do I dispute this?

Re: Medical Necessity

By motion to the divorce court. You could also ask for all payments already made to be reimbursed. Feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss. Ed Dicato
