What is a motion hearing? I am going through a Divorce

In Ohio, when one side files a motion asking the court to grant that party some relief, the court will often schedule a motion hearing wherein both sides get to present evidence and case law and urge the court to rule in favor (or against) the motion. That is all done at the motion hearing.
