Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Under oath in a divorce court

My husband during our divorce proceeding moved to another county without informing the courts. Which in Ohio you are legally bound to do so. He used an address that was not his. He swore to this(address) in court. Later when I found out; he claimed that he did not want to give his real address. Is this contempt of court? Would we have to file again?

Re: Under oath in a divorce court

I gather from your post that you now know your ex-husband's correct and current address. You do not indicate if he was/is in compliance with other aspects of the court's orders related to the divorce (e.g., support payments, etc.)

Generally, failing to comply with a court's order may subject the violator to a finding of contempt by the court. One way the court is advised of behavior that may be contemptible, is through the filing of motions by aggrieved parties.
