In Ohio, Courts will consider as marital property (therefore subject to division in a divorce or dissolution proceeding) any asset that came into either parties' possession during the marriage unless it falls within an exception (like inheritance, personal injury settlement, or passive income from an asset owned prior to the marriage: example: dividends on 100 shares of Disney stock the party owned before the marriage). It does not matter to the Court whose name the property is in.
