Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Ovum donation

I have been asked to donate my eggs to a couple. The woman is a U.S. citizen but the man is not. The donation will take place out of the country. I was told that if a child resulted I would legally be the mother and would need to go through an adoption process. I have donated before (in the U.S.) and my involvement ended with the egg retrieval. Wondering if I should even consider this out of country option? Am I getting myself into a legal mess (I do not want to end up being responsible for or raising a child right now in my life).

Re: Ovum donation

I'm not certain, but I believe this depends upon the country where the donation takes place as to whether there may be a conflict of laws and the terms of the contract you sign with the couple.
