Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
perjury?
I am going back to court for what I hope is the final time, to get my divorce. The last time we went, my soon-to-be X stated under oath that his only income was the pension he gets. I know he was working at a local co for at least 4 months, and when I called them, they admitted that he worked there, but was paid ''under the table'' My attorney wants to sopeana the small company. I wonder if it is worth it, he probibaly made about $3200, but has since quit. He does not want to pay child support and is trying to show my income higher then his. I have spent over $13k already in attorney fees, trying to get this settled, and now, I just want out. What do you suggest, will it make any difference if he made $3200 more then stated? He retired with full pension at 48 and decided to get divorce me and does not plan to see our son (14) and certainly does not plan to work, so my child support takes only his pension, 35000K per year into account, not the fact he won't work.I am now looking for full time employment. I currently, and have for 14 years worked part time, and full time the first 5 years. Please advise me.

Re: perjury?
I suggest asking your attorney what the financial gain to this effort would be. At this stage, because your husband is distancing himself from both you and your son, in my opinion the focus should be on any financial advantage for your son. Perhaps your attorney sees more earnings there than you. Ask what exactly the strategy is.
