Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
I have physical custody of my 14 daughter. Her mother is fine with this. She has been living with me since 11/2010. I need to obtain a court order however to stop the child support going to my ex. Do I need an attorney since my child has been living with me and her mother is fine with this?

In Ohio, you definitely need to file something with the court in order to stop the child support going to the mother. If you live in a different school district, you will also want a court order naming you as the custodial or residential parent so that you can show such papers to the school so they will admit her.
You can always represent yourself in court, but it's a bit like putting in a bathroom in your house where there was't one before. Lawyers and plumbers have practical knowledge and experience that can save you a lot of time and money over doing it yourself.
