Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

police officer charged with misdemeanor

I have a friend who has a domestic violence misdemeanor in Virginia, is on probation for three years. Is it possible for him to work as a police officer in Ohio with the misdemeanor conviction? Is it possible for him to have this expunged from his record as some time and return to working as a police officer?

Re: police officer charged with misdemeanor

I handled a similar case. Yes it is possible. Even with expungements, certain databases are available to the police officer association, but this knowledge does not necessarily disqualify him.
