Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Power of Attorney

My wife and I set up power of attorney with an attorney, but we cannot find the document. Is the POA filed at the courthouse? Is it maintained by our attorney? Do we need a copy of the document in order to execture POA?

Re: Power of Attorney

You need the original and so it is doubtful that your attorney has it or that it has been filed with the court. Copies of this document are not effective unless perhaps the original has been produced.
