Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

receiving child support from mother

divorce took place out of the country fourteen years ago. father was awarded full custody, no child support was ordered at the time.(mother a no show in court)

the mothers whereabouts was unknown until early this year. parents of the child live in different states.

can the father petition for back/future child support and what state should the petition be served.

The action must be filed in the state and county of the wife's residence. What relief is available depends on state law.
