reciprocal restraining order

What does this mean? My wife said it is mandatory in a divorce. Is this true?

Yes. It is mandatory. It is not the typcipal restraining order you think of when you watch "cops" or any other domestic issue. All it means is that there is a court order preventing the parties from destroying, depleting and or doing away with marital property.

It is meant to keep all the assets and debts in order so that one party cannot cash out their 401k and/or bank account to the detriment of the other.
