Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Re-Location out of state For Residental Parent
I am recently divorced. My Ex husband relocated to the Washington DC area. Our dissolution states that for me to move out of the state of Ohio will reopen custody if my ex-husband objects. (and he will)
Can the state force me to stay in Ohio, although my fiancee lives in AZ and we want to move myself and my two girls (ages 4-7) after our marriage? I have custody during the school year, and he has the summer months.

The Court will not force you to stay in Ohio, but they may force you to chose between the kids and your fiance. The Court will consider this an opportunity to modify the visitation schedule and determine how much time each of you will spend with the children.
