I own a home in both Virginia and Ohio and spend equal time in both. I am wanting to file for divorce which state do I file in

Regarding either state, you file in your county of the state in which at least one of you has been a resident for 6 months.

You should file for divorce in the jurisdiction in which you're considered
a bonified resident, i.e., where in addition to property, you have a driver's license, voter registration,
other indices of domicile, etc. If the prospective defendant spouse also resides there, all the better.
