Residential Parent Wants to Move out of state

I have a shared-parent agreement with my son's father (whom I never married). My son will be 9yrs old soon and has lived in the same town his entire life. I have been married now for 5 years, and have two additional children with my husband. He is the sole provider for our family (not including child support) as I stay at home with my three kids. He is currently interviewing for another job in another state 4 hours away in driving distance. This job can increase his pay drastically. If he takes this position, do I have rights to take my oldest son out of state, or would I have to go to court, as I know that my son's biological father will not agree to our moving. Can you please help me know what kind of battle if any I am up for? Thank you so much.

Be prepared to file a motion with the Court prior to moving stating your intent to move. At that time be prepared to show that you are a nice, kind, and thoughtful mother. Further, that the father's environment is not as good for the child. He could make this world war III if he wanted to.
