What is the procedure and requirements for getting a restraining order?

Since this is a family law question, I will presume that you are attempting to get a restraining order against your former spouse. The easiest way is to claim that he committed domestic violence. The Court will issue a restraining order and take away his right to carry a gun. This can be done either through the domestic Relations Court or through the prosecutors office.
