Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
rights and responsibilities
Hello,
I have sole custody of my two beautiful daughters. Their dad has visitation. I would like to send them to private school. They have been in public school in the past. I will accept all of the financial responsibility for this choice. My ex says he will take me to court if I do this. Can I make this decision without his permission?

You should be able to seek a modification of the child support agreement through the court.

In the absence of a shared parenting plan giving him consultation rights, yes, you can do what you want. It is up to him to prove that the change would not be in the children's best interests.
