Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Secreting paternity?

17 yrs ago I became pregnant by a man I had dated for 6yrs, then he moved to St. Louis. He did not ask if he was the father and I did not offer to tell him. My son called to introduce himself last summer and the father rejected him. We went for paternity testing in November and now the father is suing in a civil court for $1,250,000 claiming because paternity was secreted and he was denied the opportunity to be a loving father. He still will not talk to his son. What are his chances of winning such a frivilous suit and what kind of defense attorney should I hire? Your advise would be very much appreciated.

Re: Secreting paternity?

Some attorney's will file any kind of case. He is probably doing this to get out of child support. He is just trying to offset any judgment you are rightfully entitled to.
