Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Seeking custody of my son.

My son lives in NJ. I live in OH. My former wife maintains custody of him but he spends the majority of his time with his grandmother due to mom's living condition. He is approaching the age of five and is currently staying with me for a couple of months. I would like to maintain custody of him, enroll him in school and raise him. I am married, good job, nice home, and live in a good area with an excellent school system, low crime, and a household which includes his biological sister(from my wife). I need some advice/ help. Thanx

Re: Seeking custody of my son.

If you got divorced in Ohio, you can try to modify the custody arrangement through the court here. This may take some negotiating with your former wife. If there is a lot of resistance, you may have to request that a court respresentative in her jurisdiction verify the situation you describe for the judge here to review.
