Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Selling property
My husband and I bought a house in 12/00, new house, no equity. I now want out of this marrage, mental abuse, and no support from him. I have paid both house payments and all utilities and can afford the house on my own. He wants to sell it, which will cost approx. 14,000 in real estate commisions. I don't have the money for that and obviously neither does he. Do I have to sell? Is there another way?

Re: Selling property
You can buy his interest out for his one half of the equity. Since there is no equity, you may have to pay him some money to keep the house. Some people just try to get as much money as they can out of the relationship to hurt the other person.
