Re: Separation

The short answer is no. A separation, legal or otherwise, does not end the marriage. If you no longer want to be married to someone, you must file for a divorce or dissolution of marriage. Even a legal separation, which divides all debts and assets, and settles matters of child custody and support DOES NOT end the marriage.
