If your spouse has a severe gambling problem and you want a legal separtion only, is there a way that you can have it in the separation agreement that the other spouse is not responsible for any accumlative debt that has occured.

A legal separation has to have some sort of separation agreement as part of it. If your husband will agree, great. Otherwise, you must prove which debt is his to get the court to order him to pay it.
