Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Shared parenting rights

I have a standard shared parenting plan in place (cuyahoga county, OH). My ex gets the kids every other weekend from 6pm friday, to 6pm sunday. He wants to take me to court because his job schedule changed, now he is off on friday's (works m-thurs)and wants to get the kids in the morning on Fridays, or Thursday night. This poses a problem for me since one of them is in school full time, and he resides approximately 1 hour away. Since the parenting plan is standard, why should it be changed? His work schedule doesn't conflict with it.

Re: Shared parenting rights

To prevail, your ex must show that such a change in the shared parenting plan is in the children's best interests. I cannot see how interfering with the child's school one day a week just for the father's convenience would benefit the children.
