Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Can son change the person supervising visits
My son got full custody of his two girls while the mother was in rehab for drug and alchol abuse with child endangerment charges on her. At that time he was to take the girls to the rehab center for supervised visits every Tues. and Sat. Supervised parenting time thereafter shall be agreed upon by the parties. When she got out they agreed upon every Tues. from 4 to 8 and every other Sat. from 10 to 6 with her grandmother as the supervising person. She is in a relationship and has been for 3 yrs with an abusive man who also does drugs and alchol. Recently they have both within two months filed restraining orders on each other for domistic violance and then dropped charges. Where ever she is this man calls and harass's the people until she leaves or the police are called. She is also 2500.00 behind in child support. My son wants to change parenting time to once a week for a couple hours at a local place such as McDonalds until her situation improves or the man is out of the picture. Can he do this. The children are 3 and 4 yrs of age. Thank You for any help you can give.

Re: Can son change the person supervising visits
If the parties do not agree, then they are limited to the express terms of the last court order. If he believes that this is not in the best interests of the children, then he must file a motion to change visitation.
