Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
My sons father has been incarcerated all of my son's life (5 years). I live in Ohio and donot want him in our lives. Does he have any rights seeming he has only met him one time and has not had any contact w/my son in over 3 1/2 years?

In Ohio, if you were not married at the time your child was born, then for anyone to establish parenting rights, that person would need to bring an action in juvenile court and prove that he is the father. Then you could argue before the juvenile court whether the father had abandoned the child such that he should be stripped of parental rights, or, if the court won't do that, you could petition the court that he only have very limited supervised visitation.
