Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

trying to stop visits

My ex bf gets structured visits with my 8 year old at a McDonalds for 1 1/2 hrs a week. I have a CPO but have to drop my child off at these visits. My 15 year old no longer has to see him. Last week, my 8 year old told me his dad suddenly leaned over and said to him - if his brother wants to fight him then he will have to defend himself and kill him. - why is no one in the courts or the legal people concerned about this comment, my atty, the GAL and I also talked with someone at the Ohio Domestic violence network - who only said it was inappropriate but would not change the visits. Have been dealing with stalking and violations of the CPO for 4 1/2 years now and in court trying to get him away from my kids. How do I get someone to help me protect my kids?

called police every time he violates the order - gathered police records on his family who have records past and current and others living with him. hard to even get the police to take a report most of the time. Have not had any contact with him to make him think i want him back. I have moved 3 times. 3 times charges have been picked up by the prosecutor. talked to anyone who will listen hoping they will know someone

Re: trying to stop visits

You're not clear as to whether your ex has actually been charged with stalking. Are the structured visits supervised or merely in public? Do you believe that 1 1/2 hrs per week of discussion with the boys' father would encourage the boys to be aggressive? It could be that the authorities believe that your ex's influence is not that great on the boys. If you believe he could be influential enough to encourage violence and agression, have you considered counseling for them or family counseling with you and them together?
