Ex wants support amended

Ex was making $250,000 when

divorced...he owns a mercedes,

porche, a truck and a little car. He is

behind in support and has been

ordered by the court to pay $600/

month until back debt is paid. Can

this judgment be amended? He is

self employed and now that we have

been divorced for 3 years he wants

to have his support amended.

Saying he is not able to make any

money.

He can ask for whatever he wants, but voluntary underemployment is no reason for his child support to be reduced. Unfortunately, the court has no jurisdiction to tell him to sell off assets, unless the arrears are converted to a lump sum judgment. That can only be done after the child turns 18, and finishes high school.
