Tape Recording Conversation
Is is legal to tape record a conversation without first telling the other party that they are being recorded?

Depends. In Ohio it's legal (except if you are an attorney, in which case, there are ethical issues involved).
Some states require both parties' consent. I am not certain which state's law would apply in a conversation between residents of different states. But to be prudent in that case, I would take the approach that it is prohibited to tape unless both parties consent.
