temporary custody w/ restraining order

I am separated from my wife, and we have 3 children. She maintained residence in the marital home with the kids. Recently discovered that she's taking sleeping pills AND drinking when the kids are there. Last night told her i knew and that i wanted to take the kids with me. She told me to get out, she called the cops, so i left. Wife filed for a temporary restraining order today. I have never abused her, but she has harrassed me. I want to file for divorce and request temporary custody of my children. Will the temporary restraining order affect this?

Probably the TPO will remain pending while the custody arrangements are considered.
