Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Time Factor for No-Fault Divorce
My husband and I have decided on a No-Fault divorce. Is there a law that states we have to be seperated for a certain amount of time before we can file for the divorce, and do we have to choose certain ''grounds'' for a divorce?

Re: Time Factor for No-Fault Divorce
If you and your spouse can agree to all of the terms and conditions of the separation, then you can do a dissolution which is what you are calling a no fault divorce. For a dissolution you do not need grounds.

There is no requirement that you be living separate to file a "no fault" divorce or dissolution. Many people live together in the same residence during the pendency of the action.
