Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

time line for chid support

I have a 6 month old son. I recently located the father who ran with the announcement of my pregnancy. We have completed paternity and I am now awaiting a support hearing. What kind of time frame am I looking at now? I am struggling to financially support this child. Is there anything I can do to rush this process along? Am I able to receive back support payments for the time spent going through the process? How about medical bills for delivery and my son's illness which accompanied a lengthy hospital stay? Thank you.

Re: time line for chid support

Time frame for support hearings vary from county to county. You can receive back support to the date of the child's birth and birthing expenses pursuant to statute.
