Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Transfer of Jursidiction

My ex-husband has supervised visitation of our children. 2 days after our divorce was finalized in Ohio I moved to Texas in order to protect myself and my children from his abusive alcoholic manuvers. We have lived in Texas for 4 1/2 years, and I would now like to transfer the jursidiction to Texas, however I was told by my ex-husband attorney that the state of Ohio does not allow that. I don't believe her. What steps must I take to transfer the jursidiction to the county and state where my children and I are residents?

I don't know what the State of Ohio says, but you would have to petition the Ohio Court for permission.
