If I am unmarried, with other children, and live with a family member, can my son's father obtain custody because he has his own house and a better job?

In Ohio, the courts will consider the best interests of the children in determining who should get custody. That means that a lot of factors will be considered. Some of those factors may include who has the nicer home and neighborhood to live in, but these are only a part of the overall picture and not determinative on their own.
