Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
unreportable income
My ex-husband and I have been in the Clermont County court system for years regarding child support, allocation of retirement funds, and spousal support. After a long and costly battle, everything is final. He worked for his brother for 12 years before voluntarily quitting his job after two weeks of me obtaining my nursing degree. He made well over $100,000 per year and paid about $650/mth child support to me for 2 children when we had shared custody. Now that he has custody, I pay $628/month child support and make about $43,000/yr. Since he quit his job, he has built and resold a home worth over $770,000, bought a home in Florida, has a rental home which he collects $1000/mth, and owns property in another county. He has bought and sold many cars, boats, and quads in the past two years. He is a handyman and has been going out of state for jobs that he is making money on while leaving my childen at home alone. During this time, he has been collecting unemployment for about 6 mths now. I paid over 30G fighting for custody and now I feel like he is hiding money and not being honest about his income. What is a safe way to protect my kids and report his unreported income? Kids are 15 1/2 and 13.

Re: unreportable income
A parent is not permitted to voluntarily resign from a job to avoid payment of child support. If you have the documents to proves what you write, this should be brought to the attention of the court.
